Guardian Sleeper - Safe No Slip Baby Cover and Positioner

The Guardian Sleeper is designed to safely cover a baby and maintain them in the ‘Back-to-Sleep’ position away from the sides of the crib or bassinet so that the triggers for apnea and therefore the risk of SIDS are reduced. Because the soft harness holds the baby in place, the mattress can be angled to reduce the symptoms of reflux. The covers cannot be kicked off or over the baby’s head and the baby has ventilation so the Guardian Sleeper helps to maintain a healthy body temperature throughout the night. This along with the feeling of being ‘snuggled’ promotes increased sleep duration. For babies who get too hot or too cold, roll onto their tummies, kick their covers off or over their heads or get into compromising positions such as a face against the bumper or a limb through the bars, the Guardian Sleeper is a must.

SIZING TIPS:

Sizing pertains to babies length not crib size.

Most 0 to 3 month babies fit in small crib size.

All U.S. cribs are one size.

Most 3 to 6+ month babies fit in medium crib size.

INSTRUCTIONS: (see the first 6 images below)

Step 1
Slide sleeper over bottom end of mattress with harness on underside of top surface.

Step 2
Lay harness flat on top of mattress.

Step 3
Lay baby on back over center of harness ensuring that gusset strap is between baby’s legs with one leg either side.

Step 4
Pull harness straps though the opening on each side of top cover.

Step 5
Bring double Velcro strap over Velcro between the two openings and secure.

Step 6
Bring other strap over the first and secure making sure that the harness fits snuggly around the baby’s torso (not so tight that it will restrict baby’s breathing or so lose that baby is not secured in position). Harness should fit just below arms in infants 0 to 6 months. Ensure baby’s arms are free of the harness.
